WILSON-SHAFFER HISTORY
The Harold Wilson Agency was founded by Harold Wilson in the late 1920's and was one of the first real estate companies in Door County. Harold Wilson also sold insurance, and in the 1960's sold both the real estate business and the insurance business to Edwin Shaffer who changed the name of the company to the Wilson-Shaffer Agency. In the 1970's, Mr. Shaffer sold the company, and the insurance portion was subsequently sold to Dave Thomas of the Thomas-Pfeifer Agency in Sister Bay. In 1984 Kathy Hollister took over the company.

Each successive owner has maintained and built upon the name as well as the solid reputation Harold Wilson established for honesty and competent, professional service. The company maintains a relatively small sales staff with the primary objective of bringing highly professional, personal service to both sellers and buyers.
